Xtina is back!

Check out Christina Aguilera looking foxy and NAILING it in her new video “Your Body.” Thanks Carly Augenstein for sending this my way! The vocals, The hair, The charm and The strapping Men… All Yummy.

Available on iTunes Now:

I get to play this character that, yeah, she may be a little bit of a badass, she’s very confident, self-assured, but she’s super playful and super tongue-in-cheek. I don’t think I’ve ever done a video using so much color and freedom and fun!

This is one of the first Xtina songs I’ve loved in a while. I really didn’t get down with her most recent album Bionic, but REALLY loved  Back to Basics (2006), which boasted three worldwide singles: “Ain’t No Other Man”, “Hurt” and “Candyman.” Aguilera’s seventh studio album, Lotus, is set to be released in November 2012 which will include ”Your Body”. ”[Lotus] will be a culmination of everything I’ve experienced up until this point…. I’ve been through a lot since the release of my last album, being on (The Voice), having had a divorce,” she said. “This is all sort of a free rebirth for me. I’m embracing many different things, but it’s all feel-good,” she said of the album’s material, including tracks that are “super-expressive” and fun, with moments that are “super-vulnerable.” - from an interview with Lynn Elber (August 28, 2012)

Here are a couple of my Xtina’s favorites:

The Throw Back – Come on Over

The Dirty Days – Welp…

The Heart – Beautiful

The Class is Back – Ain’t No Other Man

You Betta DANCE – Candy Man

The Soul – It’s a Man’s World - Grammy 2007

Her rendition of “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” at the 49th Grammy Awards ranked third in the Grammy’s Greatest Moments List behind Celine Dion’s performance of “My Heart Will Go On” and Green Day’s performance of “American Idiot”. In an interview, Dion described Aguilera as “probably the best vocalist in the world.”

Coming from Dion… That’s quite an honor.
My vote is for Beyonce or Jessie J…
But that’s just my humble opinion.
